I love cigarette-ash-flecked benches, picnics in sun dresses with bottles of cheap wine, antique stores run by little old men, reading short stories and loving how the words seem to fit together perfectly. I love endless Sundays. I love old Paris apartment buildings with cracked walls and tiny balconies, I love the euphoria felt when you see something or someone once thought to be long-lost. I love fingers bent into peace signs, sundrenched parks with green grass and children making daisy chains. I love lengthy conversations over café au laits, conversations with substance. I love feeling love.

Lily. I'm Lily. And I'm a teenager attempting to figure out this crazy thing we call life in the beautiful city of San Francisco. I fantasize of living in Paris.

In the past year, I've left the life of a typical teenager to go into residential treatment for my depression, anxiety, EDNOS and self-injury. Thankfully, I'll be returning to high school in the fall and I feel ready. I'm in no way "cured", but I have more compassion and understanding for myself now.

I find it wonderful to make new friends, even if they're across waves and wires, borders and buildings.
